WI Report

On 18th May Doe Lea and Rowthorne WI held their Resolution Meeting: “The labelling of all British Goods properly” at the Glapwell Centre. The Speaker, Alison Blake, gave a demonstration on Hanging Baskets. The Competition, A Small Flower Arrangement in a Yoghurt Pot was 1st Maggie Thompson, 2nd Julie Greatorex 3rd Heather Davies. Raffle: 1. Meryl Ashton, 2. Julie Greatorex 3. Jean Bennett. Hostesses Marie Horrell, Beryl Busby, Phyllis Atkinson & Elizabeth Lawty. Flowers: Sandy Tye. Vote of thanks: Jean Bennett.

On 27th April, Scarcliffe Groups held their meeting at the Glapwell Centre where there was a faith supper and quiz.
