Hardwick Educational Charity

In Ault Hucknall, the other civil parish within the Ecclesiastical parish of St John the Baptist, the Hardwick Charity is much better endowed from the historic assets given by the Dukes of  Devonshire. For some mysterious reason, when the Glapwell civil parish was formed, the area of benefit for these older charities was not included. The Reverend Kenneth Wayne sought to compensate Glapwell students accordingly. (See Glapwell Educational Charity).

The Hardwick Charity (named after Hardwick Hall) benefits further and higher education students resident in the civil parish of Ault Hucknall.
